Cedar Fair Entertainment contracted Weber Group to design develop an existing concept package and to build the thematic overlay of their new attraction, Rapterra, at Kings Dominion. The theming for this attraction was designed to complement Weber Group’s previous work on Tumbili within the Jungle X land development. As creative director, I collaborated closely with the client and our internal team to devise effective means and methods for fabrication that minimized the impact of an extensive and rigorous value engineering process. This approach enabled us to deliver an awe-inspiring entry portal, a richly themed load station, and multiple thrilling, near-miss arches at the launch. Cedar Fair and Six Flags completed their merger during the course of this project.
